Crucial Crew Safety Workbooks

Shrewsbury & Oswestry Crucial Crew and its partner agencies have worked tirelessly throughout
the winter to ensure that the safety workbooks are fully up to date. Each book contains 18 safety
scenarios to work through. These have now arrived in Shrewsbury from the printers, are available
for collection and are totally free thanks to Rotary and our other sponsors. The books are available
for all participating Shropshire Primary Schools and their year six students to work through between
now and the year end. The following details are exactly the same as last year:

Ring: Geof or Jo Proffitt on 07788 184255 / 07787 967071 to agree a collection time by 10 May 21,

Thank You

A huge thank you to the following who have already provided funding for Crucial Crew Safety Workbooks for 2021.
The Wynn Foundation, Lintel Trust (Shropshire Homes), The Walker Trust, Morris Property, Elmer Arlyss Construction and the following Rotary groups: Shrewsbury Severn, Shrewsbury Darwin, Oswestry Borderland and Ellesmere.
This funding is not taken for granted and is greatly appreciated. Continuing support not only helps to fund our safety event for children, but it re-energises the unpaid Management team and volunteers and for that we are truly grateful. As we move into our 28th year we acknowledge the valuable contribution of all our supporters. Sadly, this year we particularly remember the support and kindness of Mary Cadbury who passed away at Christmas.

Shrewsbury & Oswestry Crucial Crew 2021 – Cancelled

Sadly, we have had to cancel Shrewsbury & Oswestry Crucial Crew this year.
We will, however, be implementing our Covid contingency plan which will see 1500 safety workbooks issued to teachers at the 40 schools scheduled to attend. Whilst the workbooks are no substitute for the actual event they do offer life skills information in 18 subject areas.

In the meantime, stay safe and do please keep in touch using the ‘Contact us’ form if:

You are a professional agency wishing to deliver a safety scenario at future events.
An individual looking to offer their services as a volunteer.
If you have talents to add to our management team
Someone who would like a VIP invite to view our next event.
A sponsor looking to support a local children’s charity.
