The West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner and 20 local businesses sponsored Shrewsbury and Oswestry Crucial Crew in 2025, but we would like to see more. Sponsoring the safety of young children through professional safety education events such as Crucial Crew is no accident and rewarding for all concerned. The dates and times for our remaining planning meetings in 2026 are: 

Friday 10 April 2026:    10am (management);    11.15 to 12noon (agencies)
Friday 8 May 2026:     10am (management);    11.15 to 12noon (agencies)

The agencies delivering scenarios at Crucial Crew 2026 are encouraged to attend at least one planning meeting prior to the event.

(Meetings are to be held at The Two Henry’s, Battlefield, Shrewsbury, SY4 3EQ)

Pre event set up times:
Saturday 30 May 2026: 9am – 1pm (Sat before event –  setting up)
Monday 1 June 2026: 0830 early set up – event starts at 10am
